At the same time, pending home sales dipped by 1.1%, hitting a six-month low\u2014high housing costs continue to keep many buyers on the sidelines, even as more properties become available nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The median home-sale price has risen 1.9% year-over-year, now climbing above $400,000, and average mortgage rates remain near 7%, approaching a 13-month high.
